How does it work?
We use extension systems
which start with the highest quality 100% Full
Cuticle European "Remy" human hair, matching the texture you
require. Unlike other methods, the process uses no chemicals or glue and
is completely safe and painless do apply. Our Certified Hair Extension
Experts use a patent pending application. For the micro-locs application,
tiny copper micro-tubes are color
matched to your hair and the individual hair strands are inserted and "crimped"
to complete the bond. The
individual extension strands are expertly chosen to
enhance your color and texture and create a totally believable match.
How are the extensions applied?
 Small sections of your hair are drawn through the
micro-loc or shrink link and
placed at the root area.
 The extension strand is then inserted in the
micro-loc or
shrink link.
A special tool is used to gently close the
micro-loc,
securing the hair extension to your own hair.
 Your hair is safely
"cocooned" inside the extension. Your hair stays in perfect condition and
continues to grow as normal. So, when it comes to take them out, your own hair
will be in just as good a condition as the day we put them in.
What makes the hair used for
these extensions special?
The hair used comes from Europe,
Russia, Spain, and Italy: all areas where people have red meat protein-rich
diets which creates ultra-healthy hair. The cuticle remains in-tact and all
hairs have the cuticle running in the same direction. This is premium hair
that can be re-used, saving you money. This is the hair of your dreams!
What types of hair are available
for extensions?
Here are the types of hair typically
used for hair extensions:

Human Hair: This is a very broad generalization;
by law, only 10% of the hair listed as "human hair" has to indeed be human
in order to state it is human hair. The remaining hair may be synthetic or
from animals.
-
Processed Chinese hair: Lower
Quality, Lowest Price. The hair is processed, meaning the cuticle is always
removed, so the hair looses much of its health. This hair is put in an acid
bath, dissolving the cuticle. Then, a synthetic coating is applied to smooth
the hair, which will only last a few shampoos, so it is best for temporary
extensions.

European Hair: Higher Quality,
Medium Price, (although this particular name does not mean you always get the
best of European Hair, the quality varies widely).

European 100% Cuticle Hair: Much
Higher Quality than just European (and the quality is easy to determine).
meaning the cuticle is left on.

Remi hair: all cuticle is going in
the same direction
-
Russian Hair: Currently the best
and most expensive hair in the world is from Russia. This is the most desired
hair for Caucasian hair extension applications.

Will it damage my natural hair?
There is no tension, stretching,
chemicals or high heat used on the application or take down process meaning your hair
is left undamaged and healthy. Our utmost
concern is to protect your hair from any damage so that you can improve your
look with confidence. In some cases clients experience hair growth and
fortification because the extensions force them to stop over-processing.
It is your responsibility to maintain your extensions as we teach you and to
be faithful with regular maintenance appointments in order to maintain the
integrity of your own hair and the extensions. It's kind of like the
saying" Guns don't kill people ...", but in the case of hair extensions it's
"The Micro-loc Hair Extension System doesn't cause damage; pulling, tugging
and waiting too long for maintenance causes damage!".
Can you see them?
The extension are always applied behind the hair line and away from the natural
partings. The patented micro-locs are color matched to your hair color and
the shrink links are either clear, brown, or black so they
blend naturally with your hair and are virtually undetectable. You can safely wear
your hair in a ponytail without the extensions being detected! Your hair will
move and swing naturally, since it is matched to your own hair texture.
How long does the hair last?
If the hair is maintained well, it
should last you for nine months to a year, or more. If you decide
to change looks you can also store the hair for re-use later. Regular
maintenance is required as your own hair grows (anywhere from every 8 - 12 weeks). The Micro-loc
Hair Extension System is also the only
system that enables you to re-use the hair through maintenance applications,
extending the life of your investment.
Are they comfortable?
As long as they are applied by a Certified Hair
Extension Expert, there is no discomfort. The feeling most people report is
similar to having a tiny bobby pin in your hair. The process is very gentle. Extensions can take a
little while to get used to, and may cause some slight discomfort while sleeping
at first. However, after a few days, when your hair loosens up a bit, you
probably won't even notice them.
Can I brush and care for my hair like normal?
We recommend brushing often, specifically at the
scalp area, to prevent naturally shedding hair from tangling. And thanks
to these new application methods, you can
swim, exercise, color, perm, and style your hair the way you normally do. You
can even use your favorite hot tools like flat irons and hot curlers. During
your appointment you will receive exact care instructions.
Will I be
able to wear my hair in an up-style or ponytail?
We apply the extensions with that in mind, so
you can wear your hair in multiple up-styles.
Will the hair match my color and texture?
Absolutely. We take pride in matching your color, curl, and
texture perfectly, even if you have gray hair or want to add
highlights. Custom blending is our specialty since we are the areas premier hair
color salon, incorporating any subtle shifts
in tone that your existing hair may have! We recommend a minimum of three colors
to achieve a beautiful, natural look.
How
much length can I add to my hair with extensions?
You can custom order hair as long as you
want. The standard length is from twelve to twenty-four inches.
Can
extensions be used if my hair is thinning on top?
We
have various solutions for
clients who have thinning hair on top. For extremely thin, or for hair loss,
we offer “integration”, which involves using a
specialized hairpiece with your natural hair woven into it which provides a basis for
the extensions and the necessary top layer to hide the micro-locs. No one will
ever detect thinning hair!
Why
do I need a consultation?
Each
application is entirely custom - down to the hair color, texture and length
desired. Since custom
extension can range between $500 for some highlights or a little added volume to $5000
for a full head application of hair you can sit on (depending on length and density), our
consultation was created to explain the options available for different
budgets. We
will provide you with all the information you need to make an informative
decision about what will work best for your hair needs and explain all options
available.
How
long does it take?
The application time is determined by the number of
strands used. A full-head application usually takes from 4 - 5 hours, including
photos and the blending cut.
What is the price for hair
extensions?
Our

forms of less-expensive, temporary applications for special events, such as
weddings, which will last anywhere from one day to 2 months, depending on the

What is the cost of maintenance?
Because the extensions and are reusable, maintenance costs only a fraction of
the initial cost and is priced hourly. We take care in completely removing
and re-attaching the extensions and gently combing naturally shed hair during
maintenance, rather then simply sliding the bond up to the scalp and
re-attaching to the same hair. Expect your maintenance appointments to take nearly as long as the original
installation. This is performed every 8 - 12 weeks, depending on your hair type.
